Frequently asked questions
When does the PPWR apply?
The PPWR has applied generally since 12 August 2026, and some design requirements apply in stages from 2028 to 2030. The check lists obligations already in force separately from those to prepare ahead.
Is the check free, and do I need to register?
No. Without registering you can complete the check and see your role, your readiness in each area and the first 3 actions. You only need to leave your name, company and email to see the full action list and download a PDF. Logged-in members see everything directly.
Can I treat the result as legal advice?
No. The check is based on the text of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 and the European Commission’s official FAQ, and the results are for initial guidance only. Your actual obligations depend on the facts of your case, for example whose brand is used, who decides the specifications and in which country the packaging is first made available.
